La historia de una enfermera del Departamento de San Pedro

La Lic. Narcisa Giménez Benítez (33) enfermera de la UFS (Unidad de Salud Familiar) Tercer encuadre Maracaná; fue protagonista estos días por su valentía y compromiso para con sus pacientes; actuó de chofer, además de camillera, emprendió viaje hasta el Hospital de San Estanislao trasladando de esa forma a un paciente de 26 años en estado grave que precisaba de oxígeno y estudios clínicos puntuales; a la fecha el paciente está totalmente recuperado “muy orgullosa y muy contenta por haberle salvado la vida”

La Licenciada Narcisa es oriunda de Guayaibi, Departamento de San Pedro, es de familia numerosa, son diez hermanos, la mayoría de ellos profesionales, sus padres se dedican a la agricultura, desde muy chica tuvo interés por la carrera de Enfermería y con la ayuda de sus padres pudo estudiar y concretar su sueño de ser Licenciada, está casada y con un hijo de 10 años.-

Desde hace 13 años se dedica a su profesión de enfermera y 10 que presta servicios en la UFS de Maracaná, una ciudad y municipio ubicada en la zona norte del departamento de Canindeyú; a 260 km de Asunción, con 26 mil habitantes aproximadamente, accedió al puesto gracias a un concurso del cual participo; según nos comentó la UFS atiende a 30 personas aproximadamente por día, muchos de los cuales por cuadros de Covid, el médico y las enfermeras del puesto les brinda los primeros auxilios que son derivados al Hospital de Canindeyú a realizar el hisopado, si resultan positivo regresan a la UFS para las indicaciones y seguimiento de la enfermedad.-

La Licenciada Narcisa también reflexionó de que a veces es muy desgastante la profesión y más con la Pandemia que sorprendió al mundo, ante todo la falta de conciencia muchas veces de las personas; finalmente realizo un llamado a las autoridades sanitarias “ Que nuestro gobierno nos dé más atención, más ayuda, en especial ocuparse de Enfermería y en general a los profesionales de la salud, estamos muy carentes, en especial a los que ejercemos la profesión en el interior del país, dotar de infraestructura, de insumos; además insto a los jóvenes decidirse por la carrera de Enfermería, es noble y por sobre todo la de servir a los demás y salvar vidas.-
