La Federación Panamericana de Profesionales de Enfermería (Feppen) cuenta con nuevas autoridades y conversamos con la electa presidenta, la Mg María Concepción Chávez quien refiere que su principal motivación para postularse al cargo fue el sentido de pertenencia con la Enfermería; el mismo sentimiento que la acompañó durante los años en que fue presidenta de la APE. Con la Feppen sucedió lo mismo, un grupo de presidentas de organizaciones de Enfermería de América la animaron a la candidatura, aludiendo a los logros que había tenido la Enfermería de Paraguay. Y fue así como, el 29 de abril del 2021 se realizó la convención ordinaria de la Feppen y la elección del nuevo Comité Ejecutivo, resultando Paraguay como nueva sede por primera vez, luego de 50 años desde su fundación. Como novedad en este encuentro se aprobó del reglamento de la modalidad de sesionar de manera virtual.
En cuanto a las consideraciones que tuvo la Mg. María Concepción para elegir a sus colaboradoras, destaca que son muy buenas personas y excelentes profesionales, requisitos indispensables para acompañar el desafío y la gran utopía que es luchar por mejores condiciones laborales y de formación para las enfermeras de la región.
Por otra parte, destacó que estas profesionales forman parte de diferentes instituciones y espacios muy representativos de nuestro país; entre ellos la Dirección Nacional de Enfermería, la Facultad de Enfermería y Obstetricia de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción, la carrera de Enfermería Universidad Católica “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción”, el Hospital de Clínicas, las Filiales de la APE y por supuesto, la presidenta de la Asociación Paraguaya de Enfermería.
Así, la Junta Ejecutiva periodo 2021-2025, está conformada por: Presidente de la Junta Ejecutiva: Mg. María Concepción Chávez. Vice Pdta. 1ra: Mg. Mirna Gallardo. Vice Pdte. 2da. Dra. Nancy Marlene Mujica. Secretaria: Mg. Hidalia Rodríguez. 2da. Secretara: Mg. Nancy Villagra Rivera. Tesorera: Lic. Elva Izembrandt. 2da. Tesorera: Lic. Gladis Ojeda
Las principales propuestas de trabajo en este periodo 2021-2025 son: El fortalecimiento del liderazgo y la unidad de la Enfermería Latinoamericana y Caribeña. La coordinación y el trabajo en equipo con las organizaciones miembros para generar liderazgo en Enfermería, espacios de poder y de decisión a nivel nacional e internacional. El acompañamiento permanente y el fortalecimiento a las organizaciones miembros de la Feppen.
Además, la posibilidad de generar alianzas de cooperación con organizaciones nacionales e internacionales como el CIE, ALADEFE, OPS/OMS, OIT, Internacional de Servicios Públicos ISP, Comité Regional de Enfermeras del Mercosur CREM, Grupo de Enfermeras de Centroamérica GECC. La elaboración de un Banco Datos de la Situación actual de la Enfermería en Latinoamericana y el Caribe en los siguientes aspectos: o Regulación de la Profesión, o Condiciones de Trabajo de las Enfermeras, o Formación de Enfermería y Educación Permanente.
La posibilidad de trabajar con las organizaciones de los países miembros para lograr la aprobación de criterios y estándares básicos y unificados para la calidad de la formación de Enfermeras en los diferentes niveles. Apoyar y acompañar a las organizaciones en aquellos países que aún no cuentan con una legislación del ejercicio profesional. Generar proyectos internacionales que contribuyan al fortalecimiento de Enfermería en diferentes áreas.
Realización de eventos científicos internacionales, de manera rotativa en los diferentes países miembros. Conformación de una red de estudiantes de enfermería y de líderes juveniles. Realizar pasantías e intercambio de profesionales entre los países miembros. Realizar el esfuerzo necesario para contar con una sede propia de la Feppen. Trabajar de manera sostenida con los países miembros para lograr la legislación y regulación básica de la profesión de Enfermería
Establecer un sistema de relación con los Ministerios de Salud, Ministerios de Trabajo y de Educación de los países para fortalecer a las enfermeras y a las organizaciones de Enfermería. Fortalecimiento de los comités de trabajo y la búsqueda de recursos financieros internacionales para el funcionamiento eficiente y el logro de sus objetivos. Apoyar a aquellas organizaciones miembros que hoy están con dificultades para reincorporarlos a la Feppen y mantenerlas activas. Generar las acciones necesarias para la inclusión de Enfermeras en los organismos internacionales como OPS/OMS, Naciones Unidad.
En síntesis, la propuesta de la nueva presidenta la Feppen es visibilizar a la organización a nivel internacional ante las grandes organizaciones económicas sociales, gremiales y los líderes de las naciones. Sin lugar a duda, un proyecto ambicioso que deja en evidencia la notable trayectoria y el liderazgo de la Mg. María Concepción Chávez.
La Federación Panamericana de Profesionales de Enfermería (Feppen), es una organización no gubernamental, de derecho privado, sin fines de lucro. Fue fundada en 1970 y está constituida por organizaciones nacionales de Profesionales de Enfermería de países de Latinoamérica y del Caribe.
