El llamado urgente de la Enfermería paraguaya al Estado en favor de la salud de la población

Ante recrudecimiento de la vigencia de la Pandemia del COVID 19 que azota al mundo y su vigencia en Paraguay la situación se volvió cada vez más crítica y preocupante ante un débil Sistema Nacional de Salud y con la insuficiente capacidad para dar respuesta a la cada vez más crítica situación que estaba viviendo los Trabajadores de la Salud y la población.

A pesar de que el Estado Paraguayo a través de una Ley en el Congreso Nacional concedió al Gobierno Nacional presupuesto multimillonario de 1.600 millones Dólares endeudando por la elevada cifra a los Paraguayos además del sometimiento de una larga cuarentena con el compromiso del fortalecimiento y la preparación del Sistema de Salud ante el agravamiento, aumento de los contagios y la mayor necesidad de atención que se previa se iba a presentar más adelante en el país y la promesa era que ese momento ya el Paraguay iba estar preparados y con la capacidad de afrontar los efectos de la Pandemia  garantizando a sus habitantes atención de salud, condiciones económicas mejoradas y las instituciones públicas organizadas y fortalecidas.

A finales del mes de febrero la situación se tornaba más   preocupante, los hospitales sin insumos, ni medicamentos suficientes, familiares desesperados por no poder afrontar los altos costos del gasto de bolsillo la situación se tornaba más tensa. Los primeros días del mes de marzo aumentan los casos de profesionales contagiados y fallecidos desde las filas de enfermería se palpaba la falta de medicamentos, se recurría a colaboración para afrontar el gran gasto. El colapso de los hospitales, la falta de  vacunas,  un grave déficit  de recursos humanos de Enfermería,   el agotamiento físico y mental, y una nula respuesta del  gobierno  a los problemas. Graves denuncias de corrupción, impunidad y la tibieza de las autoridades generaban más crispación.

La enfermería paraguaya, unida, solida asume su rol de cuidar a los usuarios con valentía, alza la voz e inicia una serie de movilizaciones a favor de la población, denunciando las graves carencias y la falta de respuesta a la ciudadanía ya asfixiada económicamente.

La Asociación Paraguaya de Enfermería y  sus filiales, además de FENAE  y  Gremios Unidos emprenden una  difícil pero fuerte campaña para denunciar y exigir   al Ministerio de Salud y al Gobierno Nacional una urgente respuesta a la Población. La segunda semana de marzo se realiza la primera movilización frente al Hospital INERAN, día jueves gran movilización frente al Hospital de Clínicas, viernes frente al hospital nacional de itaugua, Martes San Pedro  y Canindeyú,  miércoles Cordillera, todos los trabajadores de blanco se sumaban a lucha. El reclamo generalizado era la provisión de vacunas para inmunizar, más recursos humanos, más equipamiento y más medicamentos.

Este valiente y estoico gesto de lucha de la Enfermería también acompañaba  la Ciudadanía y sobre de miles de Jóvenes, campesinos, estudiantes etc. reclamado un país mejor, mas justo con menos corrupción y con respeto a los derechos humanos de la ciudadanía en lo que la constitución nacional dice, acceso igual a la salud y salud de calidad.

Toda esta lucha no es aceptada por las autoridades y se inician con acusaciones hacia enfermeras y médicos en importantes programas televisivos,  pero la crisis era insostenible todo un país exigía mejores condiciones en los servicios  de salud en días posteriores se producen cambios importantes en el gabinete del poder Ejecutivo.

Seguimos en la lucha trabajando en las instituciones de salud y en la comunidad para cumplir con nuestra sagrada misión de defensa de la salud de la población y de utilizar la única herramienta que tienen los Trabajadores que es la Unidad y la lucha.

Que Dios proteja a nuestro país, a su población, nos dé salud y a todas las poblaciones del mundo.
