En el marco de las elecciones municipales que se llevaron a cabo en octubre en Paraguay, fueron renovadas autoridades municipales, tanto intendentes, como concejalías. La Asociación Paraguaya de Enfermería – APE organizó el “Gran Debate” con candidatos a las concejalías; licenciados y licenciadas en enfermería que se postulan a cargos electivos.
Mirna Gallardo, titular de la APE, calificó de inédito el encuentro y que enfermeros se postulen y quieran servir a la ciudadanía, más allá de su rol de profesionales de la salud, desde un escaño en la Junta Municipal.
Coincidieron en que un enfermero es la mejor opción para la ciudadanía, que conocen el sentir y la preocupación de la gente, “tenemos en la sangre la vocación de servicio”, exclamaron. Agregaron, que tuvieron que lidiar con situaciones realmente complicadas en la pandemia y supieron salir adelante porque conocen de las necesidades de la gente.
Salud, educación y seguridad fueron los ejes fundamentales de las propuestas; además, señalaron que los enfermeros fueron formados para ayudar a sus pacientes, para su recuperación y para que tengan una mejor vida. Además, están capacitados, tienen honestidad y espíritu de trabajo. “Nuestras candidaturas son diferentes a otros candidatos; la pandemia nos demostró que por sobre todas las cosas somos líderes trabajando y gestionando. El COVID -19 desnudó lo frágil y débil que estamos a nivel salud; indudablemente, somos los pilares fundamentales en el ámbito de la salud”, aseguraron los diferentes candidatos.
Enfermeros, la mejor opción
“Un enfermero siempre será la mejor opción” indicaron los participantes del debate llevado a cabo en el local de la Asociación Paraguaya de Enfermería (APE). Dijeron que conocen de la necesidad del pueblo y que siempre, desde su puesto están ayudando y lo han demostrado con creces en la pandemia del COVID -19 y desde siempre. “Damos respuesta a las personas que más necesitan”, enfatizaron y agregaron que conocen de todas las necesidades, de la lucha, del sacrificio; y que cuando falta insumos en un hospital, son los primeros en alzar su voz de protesta. “Somos los que ponemos pecho por la gente y seremos los contralores del ejecutivo comunal”, prometieron.
